Scoring the Beauty of Nature: Original Music for Video

These two pieces were a fun challenge; I wrote two very different pieces for one ensemble. The first is a stunning collection of time lapse shots of the Northern Lights over Norway, courtesy of NASA. The second is an aerial montage of Olympic National Park, Courtesy of the United States National Park Service.

I worked with harpist Sidney Butler, violinist Michael Adler, and bassist Jeanine Chmielewski to learn about their instruments and abilities, and conducted the premiere of these pieces in Spring 2012.
